What Is Solid Color Epoxy?

Solid color epoxy, also called pigmented epoxy, is a coloured epoxy coating that creates one clean, uniform finish across the whole floor. There are no flakes, quartz or metallic effects, just a tough, seamless surface in the colour you pick.
Because it's simpler to install than decorative systems, it's usually the most cost-effective way to protect concrete, and the easiest to recoat, repair or mark with lines later.

Choose Your Colour & Finish

Popular Colours

Greys are the most popular for workspaces. Custom and brand colours are also available.

Sheen

High gloss: brightest and most reflective
Satin: softer look that hides scuffs and dust better

Texture

Smooth: easiest to clean, for dry areas
Anti-slip: fine grit added for ramps, entries and wet spots
Solid colour or flake?Solid colour is cleaner and costs less, but shows dust and tyre marks more. If hiding dirt matters most, choose flake.

Solid Color Epoxy FAQs

Is solid colour epoxy the same as epoxy floor paint?
No. "Epoxy paint" from a store is a thin, water-based coating that wears quickly. Our solid colour systems use professional, high-solids epoxy applied over mechanically ground concrete, creating a much thicker, harder and longer-lasting floor.
Can you match our brand or safety colours?
In many cases, yes. Along with standard greys and tans, custom colours can often be tinted to match a brand or an existing safety colour scheme. We'll show you samples before installation.
Will the colour fade or yellow over time?
Some epoxies can amber in direct sunlight. For areas near windows or open doors, we finish with a UV-stable topcoat that helps the colour stay true.
Does a solid colour floor show dirt and tyre marks?
More than a textured finish, especially in very light or very dark colours. Mid-tone greys and a satin sheen help. If hiding dirt is a priority, flake epoxy is usually the better choice.
How are safety lines added to the floor?
Lines are masked and coated with epoxy as part of the floor system, so they bond to the surface and last far longer than paint or tape. They can be added during installation or later as your layout changes.
Can a solid colour epoxy floor be recoated later?
Yes. When the surface starts to show wear, it can be lightly abraded and recoated to restore the colour and gloss, often without starting over. This makes solid colour one of the easiest systems to maintain long-term.
