How We Install Quartz Epoxy
A quartz floor is built in layers, which is what makes it so thick, hard and slip-resistant.
01
Grinding & Repairs
Old tile, coatings and damage are removed, and the concrete is ground for a strong bond.
02
Primer
Penetrates the slab and creates the foundation for the system.
03
Double Quartz Broadcast
Coloured quartz is broadcast into wet epoxy, usually in two layers, to build thickness and texture.
04
Integral Cove Base
The floor curves up the wall with no seam, so water and dirt can't collect at the edges.
05
Grout Coat & Topcoat
Clear coats lock in the quartz and set the final texture, from light grip to aggressive anti-slip.

Quartz Epoxy Flooring FAQs
What is the difference between quartz and flake epoxy?
Flake uses thin vinyl chips for a decorative, speckled look. Quartz uses coloured quartz sand built up in layers, which makes the floor thicker, harder and much more slip-resistant. Flake suits garages and showrooms; quartz suits wet commercial spaces. See flake epoxy for comparison.
How slip-resistant is a quartz floor?
Very. The texture is set by the final coats, so we can make it lightly textured for easy cleaning or more aggressive for ramps and showers. We'll recommend the right level for each area of your facility.
What is an integral cove base?
It's a curved transition where the floor coating runs a few inches up the wall with no seam. It stops water and dirt collecting in corners and makes washing floors much easier, which is why it's common in kitchens, restrooms and healthcare spaces.
Can quartz epoxy replace tile in a restaurant kitchen?
Often, yes. Removing tile and grout gets rid of the joints that trap grease and bacteria. If your kitchen uses steam cleaning, very hot water or has frequent temperature swings, urethane cement may be the better choice. We'll recommend the right system after seeing your operation.
Is quartz epoxy hard to clean because of the texture?
No. Because it's sealed and seamless, it cleans easily with a deck brush or auto-scrubber and a neutral cleaner. We balance the texture so it gives grip without making daily cleaning difficult.
Can quartz flooring be installed with minimal downtime?
Yes. We can phase the work area by area, schedule around your hours and use faster-curing materials where needed, so you can reopen as quickly as possible.
